Bridgepoint Community Church Vision
1. Who we are? Bridgepoint Community Church is a Bible based, Jesus believing Church. We established our church in 2017 in the Southwest Baptist Association and adhere to the Baptist faith and message. Our motto is loving God, loving people. We are strong in the belief of coming to church just as you are.
2. Where are We going? We are going to reach the communities of Somerville, Oxford, Collinsville and surrounding areas by community outreaches and being a beacon of light to the lost.
3. Why are we going there? Bridgepoint Community church is fulfilling The Great Commission according to Matthew 28:19- “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit” It is rewarding to be a part of such a loving, supportive group of believers working to expand the Kingdom of God.
4. What can people do? People can be involved in many different aspects of our ministry including teaching, small groups, community outreaches, music ministry, financial support, church/grounds upkeep, Operation Joy, fall festival, Restored car show, Youth Ministry, and Children’s Ministry. Each member is encouraged to discover their purpose, share their testimony and be a minister in their home/work environments.
5. How are we going to do it? We will accomplish this by training leaders, initiating small groups, increasing community outreach and welcoming any and all in the body of Christ. Also, by partnering with local churches within our organization.
6. What are the rewards? We are to treasure the Lord Jesus most of all. When Jesus is our treasure, we will commit our resources, our money, our time, our talent to His work in this world. Our motivation for what we do is important. 1Corinthians 10:31. God has an eternal reward for those who are motivated to serve Christ. Whatever you do work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for human masters. Since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24
Mission Statement: At Bridgepoint Community Church our mission is to love God, love people, share Jesus and make disciples. (Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first commandment. And the second is like it, you shall love Your neighbor as Yourself.”)
Vision Statement: A place where faith and real life intersect
